I had been living in a cat shelter set up by Lanta Animal Welfare. After they rescued me from a local market, I was sterilized and brought to the cat shelter as I had no home other than the streets.
One day while I was snoozing, a huge monitor lizard attacked me. It was shocking, painful and so scary. I immediately ran and hid. I didn’t dare to come out of my hiding place for a week, in case the monitor lizard was waiting to attack me again.
I finally came out of hiding as I was starving and in terrible pain. There was a huge cut under my front arm, from the lizard attack, that was hurting so much. The wound was too hard to reach, so I couldn’t lick it better, and I could feel something crawling around inside.
I was brought to Lanta Animal Welfare and they had to removed my leg so I could survive. That’s how I lost my leg.
I also have FIV, which is a feline AIDS. This means I can’t mingle with other cats so I couldn’t go back to the cat shelter.
I could still be adopted but not many people would want a cat with aids. I now live at the back of Lanta Animal Welfare, in the Time for Lime Cooking School, with 2 other cats, that also have FIV.
I’ve been a burden, but at least now I have a safe place to live and medical staff nearby for my FIV treatments.
Will you sponsor me to support my ongoing care? You’ll also be supporting the care of other rescue animals here like me.
